Since my last update our Spring N application on Winter Wheat we had not had any opportunity where the weather co-operated to get the spreader in the field.

We finally got a couple of sunny windy days that dried the field up enough to give us the window we needed to finish our Nitrogen and Clover seeding in the winter wheat. We completed Friday afternoon.  Thanks is due to the guys at Woodrill that made it happen with the rain in the forecast, and i might add no marks in the field is a huge bonus.

Saturday we got a good rain to put the nitrogen in the ground.

This timing was about perfect because the wheat had just started to green up a few days ago.

I’m very happy with the way the crop looks and we should be on pace for at least an average crop.
